We were appointed by Wimbledon Tennis Club in London to deliver a full structural alteration and bar refurbishment, transforming the existing layout into a striking four-sided central bar area.
All works were completed whilst the centre remained fully open and operational, requiring careful planning, phased works, and strict health & safety management to minimise disruption to members and staff.
The project began with the removal of an existing load-bearing wall to open up the space and create the footprint required for a new four-sided bar configuration.
Our works included:
-
Installation of temporary structural supports
-
Careful demolition and removal of the load-bearing wall
-
Installation of structural steel in accordance with engineer specifications
-
Full compliance with health & safety requirements in a live environment
By removing the wall, we significantly improved sight lines, customer flow, and service capacity within the clubhouse.
Carrying out major structural works within an operational tennis club required:
-
Phased programming to avoid peak service times
-
Dust control measures and temporary screening
-
Protection to existing finishes
-
Strict site segregation and safe access routes
-
Close coordination with club management
This ensured minimal disruption to members while maintaining a safe working environment throughout.
The Result
The completed project has transformed the space into a modern, high-performance four-sided bar that:
-
Increases serving efficiency
-
Improves customer flow
-
Enhances the visual impact of the clubhouse
-
Delivers a durable, high-end finish
This project showcases our ability to deliver complex structural alterations and bespoke joinery installations within a fully operational hospitality environment, without compromising safety, programme, or quality.
